Building the international Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment requires people with many different skills. The DUNE collaboration now comprises about 1,000 people from more than 160 institutions in 30 countries. This video highlights some of these people and explains the discoveries that they hope to make: understanding the role that neutrinos play in the evolution of the universe; looking for neutrinos from a supernova; and searching for rare subatomic phenomena that could provide clues for realizing Einstein’s dream of a unified theory of the fundamental forces of nature. As of January 2017, the DUNE collaboration includes scientists from Armenia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Greece, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Madagascar, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Romania, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, and the United States.
