Only 3,100 people were in the audience and all were either military personnel or their families, although HBO made the broadcast available to 53 million at home.

At her Welcome Home Heroes concert, Houston opens a special gig at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk, Virginia with a particularly gleeful version of the tune, clearly relishing every moment of performing for the sailors in the audience.
