Learn the songs you love on piano: http://go.flowkey.com/neilarcher
We’re back to the year 1984 for this one. It came on the radio yesterday and I figured it was playable on piano - so here it is on solo piano with no drums or bass, so I had to keep the rhythm going. This is played in the original key of D major, and I’ve incorporated all the structure of the song in including the bridge and the added vocal during the final choruses. I hope you like it.

Original recording from German TV live coverage of the show from July 13, 1985.
This song was not incorporated into the Live Aid DVDs as according to some sources there was no quality video available, so I guess this might be the best there is...
Unfortunately the first 40 seconds or so the video was of extremely low quality but the sound was good, hence the titles at the beginning. Thompson Twins were presented by Bette Midler.
Will Lee on bass, Nile Rodgers and Felicia Collins on guitar, Philippe Saisse and Rob Sabino on keys
I heard this song on the radio few days ago and I liked it :)

Lyrics
I saw you there, just standing there
And I thought I was only dreaming yeah
I kissed you then, then once again
You said you would come and dance with me
Dance with me across the sea
And we could feel the motion of a thousand dreams
Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?
Ships at night give such delight
We all leave before the morning light
Please don't go no please don't go
'Cause I don't want to stay here on my own
Oh
Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?
Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?
Fever breathe your love on me (breathe your love)
Take away my name (take away)
Fever lay your hands on me (breathe your love)
Never be the same
Oh
Doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?
Oh doctor, doctor, can't you see I'm burning, burning
Oh doctor, doctor, is this love I'm feeling?
Come with me and make believe
We can travel to eternity
THOMPSON TWINS - Side Kicks, The Movie
13 love on your side
Multimillion selling pioneers of pop-dance music, the Thompson Twins are one of the definitive bands of the UK's 'post-romantic' musical era.
One of the most successful British bands of the mid eighties, the band set the benchmark for image/music fusion, establishing themselves as instantly recognisable both visually and orally. The trio, Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie and Joe Leeway, enjoyed international success and acclaim, scoring highly and regularly in the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.
The stuff of legend, Thompson Twins live shows encompassed the very best of music, dance and performance art. Side kicks: The Movie contains stunning live footage from a concert recorded exclusively to promote the release of their breakthrough album 'Quick Step and Side Kicks'.

"Hold Me Now" is a song by British band the Thompson Twins. Written by the band members, the song was produced by Alex Sadkin and the group's lead vocalist Tom Bailey. The song is a mid-tempo pop song that uses a varied instrumentation, including synthesizers, a xylophone, a piano and Latin percussion. It was released in November 1983 as the first single of their fifth studio album, Into the Gap.
Released in the United Kingdom in late 1983, the song peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart in November of that year and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) in 1983, becoming the band's biggest-selling single, and their first top five in that country. Into the Gap is the fourth album by the British pop group Thompson Twins. It was released in February 1984 and reached no.1 on the UK Albums Chart, and no.10 on the U.S. Billboard 200.
After the commercial success of Quick Step and Side Kick, the band worked once again with producer Alex Sadkin at his Compass Point studio in the Bahamas.

Doctor!", "You Take Me Up" and "Sister of Mercy" were directed by Dieter 'Dee' Trattmann.

Lyrics
She lives in a big white house
The rooms are lemon and she's devoted to life
of keeping this house just right, ooh, ooh
The weekends are perfectly nice ooh, ooh
And she doesn't talk when he comes home at night
Twenty five years she's just the same
She's a lonely woman, quiet in her ways
Then he comes home one night
She kills him with a knife
Now she's the one who's a living in paradise
(Sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
Oh don't cry for me
(sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
It's all alright for me
Now she sits in a big white chair
In a room that's not so different to the one back there
She turns her face to the light
But she is blinded by her life
You can hear her cry alone at night
(Sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
Oh don't cry for me
(sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
It's all alright for me
So have mercy on that woman you don't know the way it's been
You don't know the trouble her eyes have seen
Can you feel the kiss of life when you come home at night?
Well, you better not turn your back on a paradise
(Sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
Oh don't cry for me
(sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
It's all alright for me
Sister of mercy (Sister of mercy)
Sister of mercy oh, oh
Sister of mercy (Sister of mercy)
Sister of mercy oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
(Sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
Oh don't cry for me
(sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
It's all alright for me
(Sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
Oh don't cry for me
(sister of mercy) No sister of mercy
It's all alright for me
