Andrew Jones from Deity (owned by Aputure) discusses the new Deity microphones coming out soon from their new company. You may be familiar with the original Deity mic which is a much lower cost microphone than the high-end comparable Rode mics. These newer mics are lower in cost, all metal build, and have dial features right in the microphone so you don't have to go through menus in your DSLR to control the input volume. I was lucky enough to catch Andrew talking to Caleb Pike at DSLR Video Shooter about some of the new features.

I found my new favorite thing in the latest version of Premiere Pro (12.1.1). I have very limited time available to make these videos, so when I do something stupid (shown in video - like NOT setup cameras to match), this new feature comes to the rescue, takes face detection color into account, and take SECONDS!
