Kitaro prays for the God of the nature,forest, and respect the traditional Maturi1200years from now.
喜多郎氏にとって、日本の伝統を守る事はライフワークとなっている。長野県諏訪大社の御柱は1200年以上前から現代まで続いている日本を代表する巨木信仰の祭である。山から神木になる木を選び斧で伐採される。丸太となった巨木に縄をかけられ、諏訪に暮らす大勢の人々が心を一つにして木落とし坂に運ばれていく。木落とし坂は険しい坂で、縄を最後まで引くのも大変な坂であるが、巨木が木落とし坂を降り切った瞬間、巨木は神となる。人々はその瞬間まで巨木に付き添い、見届ける。喜多郎氏は1998年、この感動を世界に発信すべくGaia Onbashiraをリリース、その年のグラミー賞にノミネートされた。2010年、諏訪大社御柱祭オフィシャルアーティストに選任された喜多郎氏は日本が誇る文化を継承し、再度世界に発信するため、白装束に身を包み、心身共に身を清め、神事として御諏訪太鼓の演奏を御柱に奉納した。奉納演奏は、巨木が木落とし坂にさしかかるまで続けられた。尚、伐採された後の山には氏子によりボランティアで木の苗を植えられ、山が枯れないよう御柱祭は次の世代に引き継がれていく。

No Blue Thing is Ray Lynch's fourth studio album, released on August 15, 1989. It peaked at #1 on Billboard's ''Top New Age Albums'' chart as well as #197 on Billboard's ''Top 200 Albums''. The album also peaked at #16 on Gavin Report.
Keith Tuber of Orange Coast praised the album, commentating that Ray Lynch ''has a way with melodies, combining classical, acoustic and synthesized pop elements.'' JA of Keyboard noted that the some of the album is ''more of the same'' from Deep Breakfast; JA wrote that the ''DX patches have a little more bit[e] this time, but the trick of running staccato patterns through a delay line in triplet rhythm hadn't changed'' and that the album, like his previous works, lack percussion instruments. JA concluded that the listeners may or may not like the album. Robert Carlberg of Electronic Musician compared the album to Reed Maidenberg's Unexpected Beauty, praising the album for its combination of electronic and acoustic instruments but criticizing it for having an overreliance of arpeggiations as well as its use of ''plodding'' time signatures and for its ''warm, fuzzy'' instrumentation. Carlberg concluded that the album's flaws ''rob [both Lynch and Maidenberg] of whatever vitality classical training would bring.'' John Diliberto of Jazziz Magazine criticized the album, calling it formulaic and concluded that the album ''breaks no new ground''. Gavin Report wrote that each track on the album is worthy of the listener's attention, especially ''The True Spirit of Mom & Dad'', which was described as the ''climactic final track'' of the album.
I used the music of Ray Lynch to accompany some of the photos I've taken over the years while in the San Juan mountains of Colorado (USA). This video is an upgraded version from what was posted previously. At the time the original was deleted (4/1/10) it had been viewed 102 times. Most of the scenes photographed here were taken within a 40 mile radius of Lake City CO, in what was, at one time, the least populated county in Colorado. Lake City is noted for it's access to the "Alpine Loop," several "fourteeners" and many old mining sites and towns, long since abandoned. The area is well known by sportsmen for it's wildlife, hunting, fishing and hiking. Snowmobiles, snowshoeing and cc skiing are popular in the winter months. However there is no alpine skiing, the closest ski area is in Silverton CO. The area is very popular in the summer months with 4x4s and all-terrain type vehicles. This is arguably one of the most scenic areas in CO and the western United Stated for that matter.

Hace tiempo que quería hacer un video sobre el caos. Fue desde que leí el fantástico libro de James Gleick, Chaos. Espero que este video dé una idea del espacio fásico: una imagen de los sistemas dinámicos en los que cada punto representa completamente el estado del sistema.
Para un péndulo, el espacio fásico es solo bidimensional y se pueden obtener órbitas (en el caso de un péndulo no amortiguado) o una espiral interna (en el caso de un péndulo con fricción).
Con las ecuaciones de Lorenz necesitamos tres dimensiones para mostrar el espacio fásico. Se dice que el atractor que encuentras para estas ecuaciones es extraño y caótico porque no hay un bucle (loop), solo curvas infinitas que nunca se cruzan. Esto explica por qué el movimiento es tan impredecible: dos condiciones iniciales diferentes que están muy juntas pueden terminar arbitrariamente separadas.

An atom is mostly empty space, but empty space is mostly not empty. The reason it looks empty is because electrons and photons don't interact with the stuff that is there, quark and gluon field fluctuations.
It actually takes energy to clear out space and make a true 'empty' vacuum. This seems incredibly counter-intuitive but we can make an analogy to a permanent magnet. When at low energies, like at room temperature, there is a magnetic field around the magnet due to the alignment of all the magnetic moments of the atoms. But if you add some energy to it by heating it, the particles gain thermal energy, which above the Curie temperature makes their magnetic moments randomly oriented and hence destroying the magnetic field. So in this case energy is needed to clear out the field, just as in the quantum vacuum.
