Variously described as “contemporary classical”, “minimalist”, and even “New Age”, Yiruma’s gorgeously peaceful piano music is impossible to classify – it is simply there to be enjoyed, to relax or even to study with. Minimal music is very popular, Yiruma is one of the most popular Minimal music pianists, regularly performing to sell‐out audiences around the globe. Despite his popularity, or maybe even a celebrity status, his music remains resolutely simple and unpretentious; more in the style of short pop music songs than regular solo piano pieces, the very best of it can be enjoyed on this exciting album.

Jeroen van Veen, himself a prolific composer as well as renowned pianist, fell in love with Yiruma’s music on first hearing. As he explains in his liner notes, the music’s enduring popularity is down to its simplicity for player and listener alike. Not many classical composers can boast of having millions of fans, and millions of YouTube views to boot; Yiruma, however, effortlessly bridges the gap between popular and classical, and, most of all, allows the listener to relax and unwind.

Michael Jackson's short film for "Cry" was one of two short films produced for recordings from Invincible, Michael's sixth album as an adult solo performer. As a single, "Cry" reached the Top 40 in six countries, including the United Kingdom, Spain, France and The Netherlands.

The simple, impactful "Cry" short film features people of different ages and ethnic backgrounds holding hands across natural landmarks in California and Nevada, in keeping with the song's message of unity and harmony. As with the short film to "Heal the World," Michael does not appear in "Cry."

Today, Carrie Anne is going to take a look at how those transistors we talked about last episode can be used to perform complex actions. With the just two states, on and off, the flow of electricity can be used to perform a number of logical operations, which are guided by a branch of mathematics called Boolean Algebra. We’re going to focus on three fundamental operations - NOT, AND, and OR - and show how they were created in a series of really useful circuits. And its these simple electrical circuits that lay the groundwork for our much more complex machines.

*CORRECTION* AT 1:27 the graph says "Quinary System" but then the graph shows 10 possible states - which is actually decimal. Technically, there should be only 5 possible values there, but the overall concept is still the same.

The Bananas help Rat put up a new set of shelves in his shop. But the shelves collapse and Rat's shop is suddenly a big mess. Now Rat has to find somewhere else to stay while his own place gets repaired. The Bananas suggest Rat stays with them – and he immediately accepts. Rat soon finds life at the Bananas' house is quite delightful, especially as the Bananas are happy to do anything he asks for. It's a dream come true. The Teddies begin to think that Rat will never go back to his own place, even after his shop is repaired. In fact, it looks like Rat will stay so long with the Bananas that they joke he might even turn into a Banana himself. That thought gives them an idea. What if Rat really did become a Banana!?

Charlie and Lola

Charlie and Lola is a multi award winning cut out photomontage celaction 2D animation series aimed at a pre-school audience. It is adapted from the award winning children’s books written and illustrated by Lauren Child.

In each episode Charlie and Lola deal with issues that they as young children, encounter everyday. These little issues spiral into a succession of imaginative games, role plays and flights of fancy, normally invented by Charlie to coax his spirited little sister Lola round to seeing things in a more reasoned way.

The bananas are noted for their common catchphrase, often said when the duo get an idea where they bump into each other and say: "Are you thinking what I'm thinking, B1?" "I think I am, B2! It's {Bananas' ideas} time!". Rat in a Hat also has three catchphrases, "Oh, cheese and whiskers!", usually stated when he has not succeeded at a task; "Trust me, I'm a rat!" when trying to deceive other characters; and "I'm a rat, I'm a rat, I'm a clever clever rat", which he sings when he thinks of a good idea. Given the age of the target audience, chasing teddy bears is not usually a plot line for the show itself, and when it is depicted, it is usually in a playful manner. More often, the bananas engage in activities in singing, dancing, and playing with the other characters, and bantering with each other.
