This is one of my favorite song of Tears For Fears its just sow amazing waw i love it.
¿Es realmente la llama un plasma? Bien, depende de la definición de plasma, pero de seguro hay iones en una llama. Estos iones se forman cuando las moléculas chocan entre sí a alta velocidad, a veces liberando los electrones de sus átomos.
Quisiera darle un agradecimiento especial al Palais de la Decouverte por ayudarme a realizar este experimento.
Usando decenas de miles de voltios en dos placas de metal, creamos un campo eléctrico muy fuerte alrededor de la llama. Esto atrajo iones positivos en una dirección e iones negativos en la otra dirección alargando la llama horizontalmente y haciendo que parpadee como una “mariposa”. Luego mostramos que a través de la llama se pueden producir chispas mucho más largas, que a través del aire, ya que los iones aumentan la conductividad.
Los vikingos sufrieron muchas dificultades en el norte de Europa: inviernos largos y fríos, pero sobre todo, padecieron la falta de luz solar. Por suerte, tenían al bacalao.

Cuando hice un video sobre las vitaminas, pensé que la historia se trataría principalmente de píldoras suplementarias, si deberíamos tomarlas o no y cómo se hacen. Pero lo que descubrí es que las vitaminas tienen una historia notable, que afecta muchos más aspectos de nuestras vidas. Por ejemplo, los vikingos necesitaban una fuente de vitamina D para sobrevivir los oscuros meses de invierno y para que sus hijos desarrollaran huesos fuertes y saludables, evitando el raquitismo.

Las extraordinarias propiedades del Aerogel se deben en gran parte a su estructura. El aerogel es sólido, pero a nanoescala tiene una estructura de malla o esponja. Los pilares de su estructura son de tamaño nanométrico, al igual que los poros de unos 20 nanómetros de ancho. Esto hace que el aerogel de sílice sea increíblemente liviano, transparente y absorbente. (alguna vez fue el sólido más liviano pero ahora ha sido reemplazado por el aerogel de grafeno)
Una pieza de aerogel del tamaño de un cubo de hielo tiene una superficie interna aproximadamente igual a la mitad de un campo de futbol. El aerogel se usa en cajas de museo de alta gama para regular la humedad. Además, ayuda a mantener el vacío en los sismómetros de Mars Insight: absorbe la humedad y otros volátiles desgasificados que provienen de la propia nave espacial. También proponen utilizarlos como insecticida físico al "secar los insectos" reduciendo la necesidad de pesticidas químicos y tóxicos.

A lot of videos have covered the general overview of the discovery of gravitational waves, what they are, the history of the search, when they were found but I wanted to delve into the absurd science that made the detection possible.
When scientists want one megawatt of laser power, it's not just for fun (though I'm sure it's that too), it's because the fluctuations in the number of photons is proportional to their square root, making more powerful beams less noisy (as a fraction of their total). The smoothest mirrors were created not for aesthetic joy but because when you're trying to measure wiggles that are a fraction the width of a proton, a rough mirror surface simply won't do.
