Villancicos Navideños Feliz Navidad Christmas Carols

Pecos Bill es una de las figuras míticas más representativas del vaquero estadounidense. Fue inventado por el escritor Edward J. O'Reilly en 1923.

Se dice que vivió cerca de la frontera con México. Desde la creación de la leyenda, se ha visto idealizado como el mejor vaquero del Oeste de los Estados Unidos. Cuenta la leyenda que yendo en una diligencia a muy corta edad, se cayó de la misma, fue encontrado por una familia de coyotes cerca del llamado río Pecos (suroeste de Texas), creció y montado en su caballo hasta un tornado ahuyentó, así como se le atribuye que durante un periodo de sequía llevó lluvia desde California hasta Texas, formando con esto, el Golfo de México.

En el Año de 1948, en la película Ritmo y Melodía de los Estudios Disney, se le brindó un corto animado, en el que Roy Rogers interpreta la famosa canción que relata la vida de este vaquero. Este tema musical fue también interpretado en español por Luis Aguilé como canción infantil. Más tarde fue popularizada por el payaso mexicano Cepillín.

Pecos Bill fue un super hombre en todo Texas
Y por más que se hable de él no es presumir
Era el vaquero más temible, más terrible y más valiente
Ese era el famoso Pecos Bill.

Vision behind the painting:
I wanted the main figure to represent strength and independence, and the abstraction surrounding the figure to create a free boundless environment, an imaginary world of some kind. I believe this blend of realism and abstraction can really produce something unique.
I decided to use soothing but as the same time expressive colors and their combinations to support the feelings I want this painting to evoke. Such as a feeling of serenity, strength, awareness.. and certainly a feeling of freedom.
