El Papa Francisco reclamó el estado de ignorancia a los problemas, los sufrimientos y las injusticias de los demás, en el cual vive la gran mayoría, llegando a establecer un fenómeno de "globalización de la indiferencia". De acuerdo con el Papa, la Iglesia no debe quedarse replegada en sí misma, dar la espalda a los sufrimientos del mundo y "gozar en solitario", sino que debe hacerse cargo de sus miembros más débiles, pobres y pequeños.

There are few songs more quintessentially ’80s than Norwegian band A-ha’s “Take On Me.” It’s a synth-heavy power ballad accompanied by a high-concept music video, checking all the boxes that defined the pop music of the decade. When choosing the song for their cover, Brooklyn-based band Lake Street Dive ditched the decidedly ’80s feel of the song, infusing the song with a funky latin groove, elements of blue-eyed soul, and a fantastic trumpet solo. The result is one of our favorite covers of the season.

An air purifier filled with spider webs, a toilet insert that filters estrogen, a cactus-like water harvester—these were just a few of the ambitious and creative ideas presented at the first Biodesign Challenge, which took place on June 23, 2016. Held at the Museum of Modern Art, the gathering presented the work of 9 teams of students who designed a concept, product, or material that was biologically-inspired. The challenge—which scientists pitched and judged—gave students the unique opportunity to work with researchers to apply scientific principles to their particular field of design.
