Hey!!! There's More Stuff Down Here!... ↓
About this video...
So you've got that new awesome Camera. So...how the heck do you set it up for video?
NOTE: This episode assumes you are going to use a video editor or After Effects or something to do the color correction YOURSELF. If you're just shooting and uploading, your video will look bland. If you're doing the color correction yourself, your video will look ridiculously AWESOME! :)

I've been asked a bazillion times to show my camera settings and post editing process. OK. Here you go. Note this is NOT a color correction tutorial - it is done to show my episode shooting and to SAVE ME TIME. Your settings may be different depending on your camera and software. Oh yeah! I tell at least one person in the world NOT to stuff cheese in their CF card!

I am finally responding to a TON of requests, asking me to show what my camera settings are for video. So I grabbed a 5D Mark III and R.I.P. through them all. I used the 5D Mark III as I think that would cover just about any camera setting out there. And...Harlem Shake? Let it die! Please! :)

This is the part two video, where I look at the Saramonic UwMic9 XLR Plug-on transmitter and receiver, and also cover how to daisy chain the SR-VRM1 audio recorder into the mix. This gives video creators an all-around solution to shooting video without having to worry about power, recorders and cables. With these two products, I found the units of great build quality, simple to use, convenient, and a great way to record everything like dialogue scenes, sound effects, instructional videos and more, without having to deal with cable runs and electricity. If this would work for your videos, I highly recommend it.

Shooting at night can be a pain without the proper equipment. Here's an old technique that will help, and you don't get noisy-grainy night shots. I also get a phone call.

Does size really matter? For lenses it does! Also I show creepy eyeballs and try and stab a cheap lens to death.

I first talk about the potential problems with many backdrops and green screens, then cover this one and how I think it solves all those problems. It's very portable, large, stable, wrinkle-free, lightweight, and more importantly changing backgrounds is SUPER QUICK. For me, this is a keeper for YouTube videos, interviews and green screen work.
