En este vídeo, el cardiólogo Valentín Fuster plantea ocho claves para vivir mejor. "Existen cuatro 'T' que reflejan cómo uno madura personalmente: tiempo de reflexión, transmitir positividad, talento y tutoría. Y tenemos cuatro 'A', que describen cómo uno se muestra ante el mundo: actitud, aceptación, autenticidad y altruismo", explica.


El doctor Valentín Fuster es internacionalmente reconocido como uno de los médicos y promotores de la educación de la salud más prestigiosos del mundo. Actualmente es Director del Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC) en España y director del Instituto Cardiovascular del hospital Mount Sinai de Nueva York (Estados Unidos). Sus investigaciones sobre el origen del infarto de miocardio le valieron el Premio Príncipe de Asturias de Investigación.

La misión del doctor Valentín Fuster es integrar la investigación con la promoción de la salud a través de la educación. En este sentido destaca su participación en proyectos de divulgación de la salud para niños y jóvenes como presidente de la Fundación Internacional SHE (Sciencie, Health and Education) y asesor científico en la serie infantil Barrio Sésamo, entre otros.

“BBVA Aprendemos juntos”, un proyecto de BBVA y El País para una vida mejor



Víctor Küppers reivindica la importancia de aprender a escuchar para cuidar las relaciones en el mundo actual. Para Küppers la regla de oro para comunicarnos mejor es ‘tratar a los demás como te gustaría que te trataran a ti”.

Víctor Küppers es Doctor en Humanidades y Licenciado en Administración y Dirección de Empresas. Profesor universitario y formador, Küppers es autor de libros de éxito como "El efecto Actitud" y "Vivir una vida con sentido". Es un defensor absoluto del poder que tiene la ‘actitud’ para desarrollar el máximo potencial de las personas: "Tú vales tus conocimientos, tus habilidades y tu actitud, pero la actitud multiplica”, explica.

Apasionado por la psicología positiva, su pensamiento se podría resumir en esta frase: “Que nadie se acerque a ti sin que al irse se sienta un poco mejor y más feliz”. Para Küppers esta es la definición de una ‘persona espectacular’.

¿Cómo enseñar a los más pequeños a gestionar y comprender mejor sus propias emociones?

El psicólogo Rafael Guerrero explica en este vídeo y en su libro ‘Educación emocional y apego’, los siete pasos para convertirse en un experto emocional. "Debemos conocer las emociones, darles un nombre, reconocerlas e identificarlas, permitir que los niños las sientan y expresen, que reflexionen. Y debemos enseñar herramientas y narrativa para que las comprendan y den una respuesta adecuada a esa emoción”, explica el experto.

Licenciado en Psicología Clínica y de la Salud por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Doctor en Educación, Rafael Guerrero ha dedicado gran parte de su carrera profesional a la investigación, el ejercicio clínico y la docencia en la Facultad de Educación en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y del Centro Universitario Cardenal Cisneros.

En este vídeo, David Bueno, nos explica cómo funciona el cerebro de un adolescente. Este biólogo y genetista de la Universidad de Barcelona analiza la relación que existe entre las actitudes, el comportamiento y el descontrol emocional propio de la adolescencia con la maduración y los cambios que se producen en el cerebro en esta etapa.

David Bueno es un científico rodeado de preguntas: ¿Cómo aprendemos? ¿Cómo piensa un adolescente? ¿Cuál es la mejor edad para comenzar con un segundo idioma? No quiere dejar ninguna sin respuesta porque como anuncia en su último libro, su pasión es contar todo lo que siempre hemos querido saber sobre el cerebro de nuestros hijos y nunca nadie se atrevió a explicarnos. Profesor de genética en la Universidad de Barcelona, David Bueno explica que la neurociencia ofrece claves que modificarán nuestra forma de enseñar y aprender.

En este vídeo Mario Alonso Puig habla de las inteligencias múltiples. Asegura que hay un enorme porcentaje de personas que han tenido éxito en la vida, y que no pueden atribuir ese éxito al test de cociente intelectual. “Una persona que no sepa gobernar sus estados de ánimo o que no sepa canalizar de manera positiva la ira, o tenga miedo y no pueda superar su miedo… es difícil que progrese en la vida”, asegura el doctor Puig. Reclama la importancia de la inteligencia interpersonal, la inteligencia musical o la inteligencia espiritual y asegura que potenciar la autoestima es fundamental. “Nuestra capacidad para afrontar desafíos tiene que ver con el mundo mental, no con el mundo real”, concluye.

La historia de Luis Rojas-Marcos es el resultado del esfuerzo y de una enorme capacidad de superación. Fue un niño distraído, con problemas de aprendizaje, hiperactividad y fracaso escolar. Pero acabó siendo un avalado psiquiatra de fama internacional. Tras más de 40 años de trayectoria en Estados Unidos, sus trabajos de investigación y sus pioneras aportaciones en este campo le han llevado a convertirse en un referente para médicos, psiquiatras y psicólogos de todo el mundo.

Luis Rojas-Marcos es profesor de psiquiatría en la Universidad de Nueva York y miembro distinguido vitalicio de la Asociación Americana de Psiquiatría. En los años 90 fue el máximo responsable de los Servicios de Salud Mental, Alcoholismo y Drogodependencias de la ciudad de Nueva York. El 11 de septiembre de 2001 fue testigo de los atentados contra las Torres Gemelas, mientras ocupaba el cargo de presidente del sistema de hospitales públicos de la ciudad. Allí tuvo un papel fundamental en la creación de grupos de apoyo para los familiares de las víctimas. También es autor de numerosas obras de divulgación, en las que aborda temas como la importancia del optimismo, la relación entre el lenguaje y la felicidad, la superación de la adversidad y la autoestima.
