El tubo de Rubens es una demostración impresionante y aquí lo llevamos al siguiente nivel con un "Tablero de Fuego" bidimensional. Sobre este tablero podremos apreciar patrones únicos producidos por ondas estacionarias de sonido dentro de una caja.

Las variaciones de presión debidas a las ondas de sonido, afectan el caudal de gas inflamable que sale por los orificios del "Tablero de Fuego” y, por lo tanto, afectan la altura y el color de las llamas. Esto es interesante para ver patrones de ondas estacionarias y es aún más impresionante cuando reproducimos música.

La intensidad de la luz solar en la tierra es de aproximadamente 1300 watts por metro cuadrado. Cuando enfocas los rayos del sol con una lupa (o en este caso, una esfera de agua), puedes aumentar la intensidad aproximadamente diez mil veces. Esto aumenta la temperatura de la madera hasta su punto de autoignición, lo que inicia la reacción junto con el oxígeno en la atmósfera. Al proteger las brasas calientes y agregar más energía y combustible, puedes hacer que estos carbones calientes inicien un fuego.

Best Film on Newton's Third Law. Ever.

There is a gravitational force of attraction between the Earth and the moon, but is it mutual? That is, are the forces on the Earth and the moon equal? Most people would say no, the Earth exerts a greater force of attraction because it is larger and has more mass. This is a situation in which Newton's Third Law is relevant. Newton's Third Law says that for every force, there is an equal and opposite reaction force. So the force the Earth exerts on the moon must be exactly equal and opposite the force the moon exerts on the Earth. But how can that be - that the same size force keeps the moon orbiting, but barely affects the Earth? The answer is inertia - the tendency for all objects with mass to maintain their state of motion. Since the Earth has much more mass than the moon, it has greater inertia and therefore experiences much less acceleration for the same amount of force.
