La investigadora educativa canadiense Catherine L'Ecuyer se muestra especialmente preocupada por la relación entre la infancia y la tecnología. Admiradora de la pedagoga María Montessori y autora de los libros "Educar en el asombro” y "Educar en la realidad”, L'Ecuyer sostiene que en la educación hay que priorizar el descubrimiento y la invención. Según ella, "la mejor preparación para el mundo online es el mundo real", un escenario en el que el rol de los profesores es clave: "Los maestros encienden la curiosidad con pasión, afecto, intuición y sensibilidad. La gestión de las emociones, respetar y saber decir que no, son algunos de los principios fundamentales de las relaciones humanas según la doctora en psicología Clínica y de la Salud, Laura Rojas-Marcos. En el siguiente vídeo, la psicóloga reflexiona sobre la importancia de saber decir que no, y sentirse cómodo con ello. Laura Rojas-Marcos destaca la familia como la primera escuela y el entorno de convivencia ideal para aprender a manejar las emociones. “Convivir no es fácil, estamos hablando de cómo gestionamos los conflictos, nuestras emociones y cómo establecemos límites”.
A través de sus libros, entre los que destacan: ‘La familia’, ‘Somos cambio’, ’Hablar y aprender’, Rojas-Marcos nos brinda la oportunidad de observar diferentes aspectos de la condición humana: cómo favorecer una autoestima positiva, el impacto que tienen las relaciones familiares en el desarrollo emocional o qué es la asertividad y cómo podemos ayudar a nuestros hijos a que sean más asertivos. “Las personas asertivas saben lo que quieren, saben lo que piensan y se toman el tiempo para pensar, para decidir y para actuar", reflexiona. Laura Rojas-Marcos ha sido seleccionada entre las Top 100 Mujeres Líderes en España y colabora con instituciones dedicadas a diversos temas sociales y de salud mental.

No quiere dejar ninguna sin respuesta porque como anuncia en su último libro, su pasión es contar todo lo que siempre hemos querido saber sobre el cerebro de nuestros hijos y nunca nadie se atrevió a explicarnos. Profesor de genética en la Universidad de Barcelona, David Bueno explica que la neurociencia ofrece claves que modificarán nuestra forma de enseñar y aprender.

En el siguiente vídeo, la profesora Barbara Oakley nos da las claves para aprender de manera consciente y descubrir nuestro potencial oculto gracias al aprendizaje. “El aprendizaje conlleva concentración pero también descanso o hacer otra cosa”. La doctora Oakley insiste en que para expandir nuestras mentes debemos ayudar a nuestros hijos a expandir las suyas y, animarlos a hacer cosas que no sean su fuerte.
Oakley ha tenido una vida llena de aventuras. Fue nombrada Capitana en el Ejército de Estados Unidos por la Academia Militar. Trabajó como experta en comunicaciones en la Estación del Polo Sur en la Antártida, además de desempeñar sus labores de traducción a bordo de barcos de pesca en el Mar de Bering. Barbara nos invita a salir de nuestra zona de confort para desarrollar nuevas habilidades y trabajar la flexibilidad, una cualidad que nos ayudará a adaptarnos a un mundo con múltiples y crecientes necesidades. “Querer aprender algo requiere la habilidad de ser flexible”, sostiene.
