El Papa Francisco recibió este jueves al actor y productor de cine estadounidense Leonardo Dicaprio, informó la Santa Sede.
Según recordó Radio Vaticana, el actor es conocido también por su labor a favor del cuidado del medioambiente. “Fue este reconocido compromiso en el campo de la protección ambiental que lo ha llevado a desear un encuentro, como el ocurrido esta mañana en el Vaticano, con el Papa Francisco, en quien Dicaprio reconoce una autoridad en la materia, en particular con la publicación de la Encíclica ‘Laudato si’”, indicó el medio vaticano.
Por su parte, la prensa internacional indicó que el actor estuvo hace algunos días en Roma para promocionar su última película por la que está nominado al Oscar como mejor actor,"The Revenant"; y después viajó a Davos (Suiza), donde se desarrolló el Foro Económico Mundial”.
Leonardo DiCaprio nació en el seno de una familia católica. Actualmente dice que no practica religión alguna pero tampoco se considera ateo.
Una periodista peruana conmovió a los televidentes al no poder contener las lágrimas de emoción cuando vio por primera vez al Papa Francisco en la ciudad de Trujillo y recibir su bendición.

Tim Elmore es un popular escritor norteamericano, formador y experto en la generación “milenial”. Es fundador de Growing Leaders, una organización sin fines de lucro con sede en Atlanta (EEUU), creada para desarrollar desde la educación las habilidades relacionadas con el liderazgo.
Es autor de libros como “Generación Y: secretos para conectar con los jóvenes en la edad digital” o “Grandes errores que los padres pueden evitar”. En su obra “Haz crecer al líder que tu hijo lleva dentro” ("Nurturing the Leader Within Your Child”), Tim Elmore explica el desarrollo del liderazgo como una habilidad que puede potenciarse en todos los niños y jóvenes. Su propuesta, muy crítica con la sobreprotección y el excesivo control parental, puede resumirse en una de sus frases más conocidas: “Debemos preparar a los niños para el camino, en lugar del camino para los niños”.

"¿Qué tal si hubiera una asignatura que pudiéramos enseñar a nuestros hijos, que fuera "Cómo conocerte mejor"? ¿Cómo aprender a escuchar? ¿Cómo aprender a pensar? Es decir, ¿cómo desarrollar la inteligencia emocional? En definitiva, esto sería cómo aprender a vivir", asegura la psicóloga.
