En este vídeo el profesor de literatura italiana Nuccio Ordine reivindica la pasión como una guía para la vida. "Cuando escoges qué estudiar pensando en el trabajo, cometes un error enorme", asegura. Ordine anima a los jóvenes a construir su propio destino "porque cuando te levantas por la mañana y vas a hacer algo que te hace feliz, porque esta es mi pasión, yo esto no lo cambiaría por todo el oro del mundo", concluye.
Nuccio Ordine es profesor en la Universidad de Calabria. Este escritor, filósofo y humanista es uno de los mayores expertos en el Renacimiento y en el pensamiento de Giordano Bruno y reivindica los clásicos como la mejor escuela para la vida. Su libro superventas “La utilidad de lo inútil”, es un manifiesto humanista que ha sido traducido a más de veinte idiomas.

La magia llegó a la vida de José Luis Izquierdo, más conocido como Mago More, de la mano de un profesor de matemáticas que le explicaba los problemas con divertidos trucos. Fue en aquellos momentos, cuando decidió que lucharía por convertirse algún día en mago. More cumplió su sueño, y hoy, es además un popular humorista, guionista, actor y conferenciante de éxito. El nacimiento de uno de sus hijos con parálisis cerebral y el diagnóstico de una enfermedad crónica que le llevó a estar prácticamente inmovilizado han sido dos acontecimientos claves en su vida.
En el siguiente vídeo, More insiste en la importancia de perseguir los sueños y no rendirse nunca ante cualquier situación. “Nunca te arrepentirás de perseguir tus sueños”, destaca el cómico.
Su libro ‘Superpoderes del éxito para gente normal’, recoge una mirada práctica sobre los aprendizajes de vida que le he han ayudado a superar estas dificultades hasta convertirse en una persona polifacética, creativa e inconformista. Perseguir los sueños, no tener miedo a fracasar ni rendirse nunca ante las adversidades son algunos de los motores de vida de este cómico. En sus palabras: “Hay que tener sueños para tres vidas y para eso hay que tener fuerza de voluntad y cambiar nuestros hábitos”.

Está considerada como una de las mujeres científicas de mayor impacto en el siglo XX. Los ojos de Jane Goodall brillan al compartir sus historias de ayer, convertidas hoy en grandes lecciones de vida sobre la ciencia y la educación: "Sé curiosa y comete errores, sé paciente y no te rindas", repite esta mujer extraordinaria.
Goodall vivió su infancia y juventud con un solo sueño: viajar desde su Inglaterra natal a África para estar cerca de los animales y escribir sobre ellos. En 1960, con apenas 23 años, hizo realidad su propósito de la mano del famoso antropólogo Louis Leakey quien le encargó la arriesgada misión de viajar a la selva de Gombe,Tanzania y convertirse así en el primer ser humano en observar e investigar a los chimpancés salvajes. Acompañada de su madre comenzó un proyecto de investigación de seis meses de duración. Hoy, casi 60 años después, continúa desarrollándose gracias al equipo de investigadores del Instituto Jane Goodall en la que es, una de las investigaciones de campo más prolongadas sobre animales en libertad. Sus investigaciones revolucionaron a la comunidad científica y fascinaron al mundo entero. Su perseverancia, intuición, empatía y capacidad de observación, no solo nos han permitido descubrir el desconocido mundo de los chimpancés y de otras especies, sino que, nos invitan a reflexionar sobre nosotros mismos, promover un estilo de vida más sostenible y a construir una sociedad más justa.

En este video, el Catedrático de Fisiología y cronobiólogo Juan Antonio Madrid comparte las claves para mejorar la calidad de nuestro sueño a través de un test. De Juan Antonio Madrid bien podría decirse que es un “relojero del sueño humano”, uno de los investigadores con mayor producción científica a nivel mundial en el campo de los “ritmos circadianos.”
Este experto avisa que “una de las principales causas del fracaso escolar es también la falta de sueño de nuestros jóvenes”. Las consecuencias de los cada vez más habituales trastornos del sueño, las recomendaciones para mejorarlo o los falsos mitos, son algunos de los temas que repasa.
Actualmente Juan Antonio Madrid dirige el Laboratorio de Cronobiología (Cronolab) de la Universidad de Murcia, una institución especializada en la investigación del reloj biológico y cómo sus alteraciones impactan en la salud de las personas. Cronolab forma parte de la Red de Envejecimiento (RETICEF, Instituto Carlos III), una alianza integradas por 8 hospitales del servicio público de salud.

Con 14 años escapó de la guerra en Siria, junto a su familia, rumbo a un campo refugiados en Jordania. A cuestas llevaba solo lo imprescindible para ella: sus libros escolares. Para Muzoon Almellehan, la educación significa esperanza y futuro. Durante los tres años que vivió en campos de refugiados luchó por concienciar a las familias acerca de la importancia de la educación. Ella no cuenta solo su historia, o la de los niños sirios, sino la de millones de niños del mundo que no tienen voz.
Su inspiradora historia, su valentía y su firme defensa de la educación han hecho que muchos se refieran a ella como la ‘Malala siria’. En 2017 se convirtió en la primera Embajadora de buena voluntad de UNICEF con estatus de refugiada. “Cuando negamos a los niños y a las niñas su derecho a la educación, les impedimos que tengan esperanza, que alcancen sus metas y que algún día puedan volver a sus países para reconstruirlos”, afirma.
