When sunlight shines through a small hole, it casts a circular image on the wall regardless of the shape of the hole. The size of the hole also doesn't affect the size of the image.
This counterintuitive demonstration shows that the hole is acting like a pinhole camera, producing an image of the sun on the wall. Therefore the size and shape of the hole have no effect on the size and shape of the image.

This video shows how to hold the pencil in different ways, like a Master.

Tres canteros tallaban la piedra con tres visiones sobre la misma tarea: pesimista, indolente y entusiasta. La diferencia es que uno de ellos no había perdido el sentido de lo que hacía: construir una catedral. El filósofo y pedagogo José Antonio Marina explica en este vídeo que no debemos olvidar el sentido de la educación, que consiste en contribuir al gran proyecto de la humanidad.

Inclusión educativa, autonomía pedagógica, creatividad, talento y convivencia son algunos de los aspectos que desarrolla en libros como ‘Despertad al Diplodocus’, ‘El bosque pedagógico’, ‘Objetivo: generar talento’ o ‘La inteligencia que aprende’.

José Antonio Marina, fundador de la Universidad de Padres, es también autor del ‘Libro Blanco de la Profesión Docente’, por encargo del Ministerio de Educación, donde abre el debate sobre las nuevas corrientes de innovación pedagógica.

En el siguiente vídeo, el físico y divulgador científico Ranga Yogeshwar sostiene la necesidad de una educación que vaya más allá de llegar a la meta, una educación que nos sirva como vehículo para convertirnos en la persona que queremos ser. “La educación es mucho más que aprender algo para tener un trabajo, nos proporciona una visión del mundo. Tenemos que aprender a vivir en un mundo cambiante, y eso significa que hemos de tener una educación más sútil, diferente a la educación que conocemos y hemos conocido en nuestras escuelas”.

El periodista ha recibido más de 60 premios, incluyendo un doctorado honorario de la Universidad de Wuppertal, la Cruz Federal de Mérito de la RFA, la Orden del Mérito del Estado de Renania del Norte-Westfalia y la Orden de Mérito du Grand-Duché de Luxemburgo.Ranga explora las grandes transformaciones científicas, tecnológicas y sociales de nuestro tiempo, cuestionándose hasta qué punto los algoritmos determinarán nuestras vidas o qué ocurrirá con la educación si cada vez se vuelve más comercial. En su libro ‘Próxima estación: futuro’, arroja una mirada optimista ante el abanico de posibilidades que tenemos por delante, y a su vez, nos alerta sobre la necesidad de establecer normas éticas frente a las nuevas tecnologías con las que convivimos sin ningún tipo de control. “Con la inteligencia artificial, podríamos acabar dándonos cuenta de cuál es nuestro verdadero valor como humanos”, afirma Yogeshwar.

“¿Qué beneficios tiene educar en casa y no en la escuela? Lo siento, no tengo respuesta para eso: yo no comparo métodos, porque el cambio no está en el método, sino en la actitud”. André Stern, hijo del pensador e investigador Arno Stern, no ha pisado un aula y sus hijos tampoco. Brillante escritor, músico, compositor y lutier, en este vídeo explica el concepto de la “ecología de la infancia”, que se basa en el respeto al potencial natural de los niños. Juego libre, entusiasmo y confianza son algunas de las claves que propone para dejar que los más pequeños aprendan por sí mismos.

Autor de libros como ‘Jugar’ y ‘Yo nunca fui a la escuela’, y director del Instituto Arno Stern y de la iniciativa ‘Hombres para mañana’, André Stern propone una filosofía educativa que respete la curiosidad y capacidades innatas de los niños, para permitir el desarrollo de su potencial y autoaprendizaje. “La neurociencia ha descubierto recientemente que el cerebro se desarrolla según el uso que le demos, pero cuando lo usamos con entusiasmo. Es extraordinario que la neurobiología nos dé la evidencia de lo que todo sabemos: el entusiasmo nos vuelve genios. Esa emoción hace crecer cada vez más nuestro conocimiento y, al final, somos extremadamente competentes. No intentemos introducir conceptos en nuestros hijos; veamos qué sale de ellos”, concluye.

Lidera la prestigiosa cátedra Charles Simonyi para el Entendimiento Público de la Ciencia en la Universidad de Oxford, donde también es profesor de matemáticas. Ha escrito numerosos libros entre los que se encuentra el gran éxito de ventas “La música de los números primos”. Además es columnista y colaborador de varios programas de televisión y radio. Debe parte de su popularidad a la serie documental de la BBC “The Code”, en la que desentraña la historia, el uso y el significado de los números.​
