En este vídeo, Tim Elmore explica las diferencias entre líderes natos y líderes circunstanciales, que son aquellos que lideran en determinadas circunstancias. Además detalla los errores que cometemos en la educación. "Arriesgamos muy poco, ayudamos muy rápido, elogiamos con mucha facilidad y premiamos a la más mínima", expone el escritor.

Tim Elmore es un popular escritor norteamericano, formador y experto en la generación “milenial”. Es fundador de Growing Leaders, una organización sin fines de lucro con sede en Atlanta (EEUU), creada para desarrollar desde la educación las habilidades relacionadas con el liderazgo.
Es autor de libros como “Generación Y: secretos para conectar con los jóvenes en la edad digital” o “Grandes errores que los padres pueden evitar”. En su obra “Haz crecer al líder que tu hijo lleva dentro” ("Nurturing the Leader Within Your Child”), Tim Elmore explica el desarrollo del liderazgo como una habilidad que puede potenciarse en todos los niños y jóvenes. Su propuesta, muy crítica con la sobreprotección y el excesivo control parental, puede resumirse en una de sus frases más conocidas: “Debemos preparar a los niños para el camino, en lugar del camino para los niños”.

¿Qué sucede cuando sobreprotegemos a un niño y evitamos que se frustre? Que le estamos impidiendo que elabore sus propios recursos y aprendizaje a partir de la frustración.

En este vídeo, la psicóloga María Jesús Álava Reyes advierte que cada vez son más los jóvenes de 18 a 30 años que acuden a las consultas clínicas porque no tienen herramientas ni recursos para afrontar las dificultades y frustraciones de la vida.

"¿Qué tal si hubiera una asignatura que pudiéramos enseñar a nuestros hijos, que fuera "Cómo conocerte mejor"? ¿Cómo aprender a escuchar? ¿Cómo aprender a pensar? Es decir, ¿cómo desarrollar la inteligencia emocional? En definitiva, esto sería cómo aprender a vivir", asegura la psicóloga.

Licenciada en Psicología por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Máster en Psicología Pedagógica, María Jesús Álava Reyes ha sido galardonada con el Premio a la Mejor labor de Divulgación de la Psicología 2017.

Conferenciante y colaboradora habitual en medios de comunicación, María Jesús Álava es autora, además, de libros como ‘La Verdad de la Mentira’, la enciclopedia ‘La Psicología que nos ayuda a vivir’, ‘La Buena Educación’ y ‘La inutilidad del sufrimiento’, que es una de las obras de no ficción más vendidas en España, Portugal y Argentina, con más de 500.000 ejemplares vendidos.

Rafael Álvarez, más conocido como ‘El Brujo’, lleva más de 50 años subido a los escenarios. “BBVA Aprendemos juntos”, un proyecto de BBVA y El País para una vida mejor



César Bona nos habla sobre la educación infantil y una de las experiencias que más le han inspirado: "Cuando más me he divertido ha sido cuando he dejado expresarse a niños y niñas. En ese momento, ellos te recuerdan cuál es su esencia y recuerdan cuál es la esencia que tú nunca tienes que perder". Es muy importante que los niños quieran volver a la escuela al día siguiente y una de las claves para conseguirlo, según César, es hacerles participar y que se sientan implicados.
Maestro de primaria y licenciado en Filología inglesa, César Bona fue el primer profesor español finalista en el premio Global Teacher Prize, conocido como el premio Nobel de los educadores. Autor de los libros, ‘La nueva educación’ y ‘Las Escuelas que cambian el mundo’, César Bona resalta la importancia de escuchar y hacer participar a los niños para enseñar mejor. Una propuesta que él llevó a la práctica fuera y dentro del aula con iniciativas de todo tipo como ‘El cuarto hocico´, una protectora de animales premiada por la primatóloga y Premio Príncipe de Asturias, Jane Goodall. Este docente zaragozano reivindica el papel fundamental de los maestros: “Nuestra misión es muy importante, tenemos que tener la certeza de que lo que estamos haciendo va a traspasar la frontera del aula y tendrá un impacto en la sociedad”.
