A finales de los años sesenta, Miguel Ríos recala en Hispavox, donde iniciaría una lenta escalada con éxitos pop como "El Río". En Diciembre de 1969 comenzarían las sesiones de grabación del Lp "Despierta", en cuya Cara B se escondía este "Himno a la alegría", el mayor éxito en la carrera del cantante granadino, un hit que durante el año 1970 alcanzaría los primeros puestos en listas de medio mundo.

Se trata de una adaptación del cuarto movimiento de la Novena Sinfonía de Beethoven, que en su momento despertó tantos furores como fervores, vendiendo millones de copias tanto en España como en EE.UU y Japón. Los arreglos se los debemos a Rafael Trabuchelli, el gran productor español de los sesenta y setenta, y a Waldo de los Ríos, el malogrado músico argentino afincado en nuestro país.

Miguel iniciaría una importante gira mundial para promocionar esta canción, y volvería obnubilado por la cultura californiana y por la música que allí se hacía (Texto de JOSE RAMON PARDO).

Tradução da canção "Beat It" do cantor Michael Jackson, presente no álbum Thriller de 1982. Composta por Jackson, a canção tem uma letra anti gangues e anti violência, um problema que infelizmente estava em alta na época. Com o lançamento do vídeo, a canção entrou para a história do cenário musical, já que, o clipe fez com que os artistas negros entrassem de vez para a programação da TV americana (o vídeo anterior de Michael, Billie Jean, já anunciava esses novos caminhos). O vídeo, originalmente com 5 minutos, mostra Michael apartando uma briga de gangues e ao decorrer da filmagem ele usa uma jaqueta de couro vermelha que virou febre entre a juventude dos anos 80, era um objeto de desejo mundial. O solo de guitarra dessa canção é interpretado por Eddie Van Halen, da banda Van Halen, e é considerado um dos melhores solos de todos os tempos. A tradução foi adaptada.

• Medium (stand linseed oil)
• Brushes - Detail brushes & Filbert synthetic brushes of different sizes
• Glass palette (homemade)

The expanding universe is a complicated place. During inflation the universe expanded faster than light, but that's something that actually happens all the time, it's happening right now. This doesn't violate Einstein's theory of relativity since nothing is moving through space faster than light, it's just that space itself is expanding such that far away objects are receding rapidly from each other. Common sense would dictate that objects moving away from us faster than light should be invisible, but they aren't. This is because light can travel from regions of space which are superluminal relative to us into regions that are subluminal. So our observable universe is bigger than our Hubble sphere - it's limited by the particle horizon, the distance light could travel to us since the beginning of time as we know it.
