En el siguiente vídeo, el astronauta Chris Hadfield comparte con nosotros los aprendizajes y reflexiones que ha vivido en el espacio. Hadfield es uno de los astronautas más experimentados del mundo, ha pasado casi 4.000 horas en el espacio y ha sido comandante de la Estación Espacial Internacional, donde dirigió un número récord de experimentos científicos. Con tan sólo nueve años su vida cambió cuando el hombre pisó la Luna, y decidió que él también sería astronauta algún día.

Chris Hadfield se ha convertido en uno de los astronautas más populares de la historia gracias también a sus extraordinarias fotografías y vídeos educativos sobre la vida en el espacio. “La educación te permite alejar la ignorancia y ver más allá de los límites”, apunta. Su versión “sin gravedad” de la canción Space Oddity de David Bowie se considera el primer videoclip de la historia en el espacio. De entre las lecciones que un astronauta puede compartirnos, Hadfield, destaca la importancia de entender la diferencia entre el peligro y el miedo: “Debemos evaluar en nuestra vida ¿qué nos asusta y cómo está cambiando nuestra vida por las decisiones que tomamos?”.

El psicólogo Alberto Soler responde ante dudas universales en la educación, el crecimiento personal y la crianza. Entre sus propuestas, destaca el concepto de la co-paternidad donde los hombres no “ayudan” en casa, sino que se responsabilizan, y donde la parentalidad consiste en reconocer y dar espacio para la educación de madres y padres, con sus diferencias y peculiaridades. Soler advierte también de los peligros de la enseñanza con “etiquetas” y de la obediencia ciega: el futuro de los niños pasa más por la educación en valores como la asertividad, el pensamiento crítico y la autonomía.

Alberto Soler es psicólogo y Máster en Psicología Clínica y de la Salud con más de 10 años de experiencia clínica y asesoramiento a padres. Soler es conferenciante y colaborador habitual en prensa, radio y televisión y coautor del libro “Hijos de padres felices” y del videoblog Píldoras de Psicología.

La socióloga Marina Subirats habla en este vídeo sobre el reto de la coeducación y educación en la igualdad, donde destaca el papel fundamental de las escuelas y las familias para cambiar el tradicional androcentrismo y crear modelos de sociedad donde se trate por igual a niños y niñas, incluso desde el lenguaje. “Lo que no se nombra no existe. Es fundamental nombrar a las niñas también: alternar el lenguaje o utilizar formas genéricas. Porque las palabras no sobran ni son inútiles: cuando nombras a las mujeres están ahí”, explica.

Experta en educación en igualdad, Marina Subirats es catedrática emérita de Sociología de la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona y una de las referentes del feminismo y la coeducación en España durante las últimas tres décadas. Desde los años 80 ha investigado la evolución de los modelos sociales que diferencian a niños y niñas desde su nacimiento y continúan durante su etapa escolar y su futuro laboral. Como experta en sociología de la educación ha publicado, entre otros libros, Forjar un hombre, moldear una mujer y Coeducación, apuesta por la libertad. “Uno de los problemas que tenemos en nuestra sociedad es el androcentrismo, que destaca la figura masculina. La nueva etapa consiste en la desaparición de los géneros y la construcción de una cultura no androcéntrica, que valore por igual lo que se atribuye a hombres y mujeres ”, propone Subirats.

La socióloga afirma que además del reto del acceso universal a la educación, es el momento de revisar los modelos masculinos que inconscientemente se transmiten desde la escuela y la familia, y destaca una importante reflexión: “Si pides algo a la hija, pídeselo también al hijo y valóralo igual. El feminismo es un movimiento de liberación de mujeres pero también de hombres”, concluye Marina Subirats.

En este video, el profesor y orientador Juan de Vicente nos explica qué es el Aprendizaje Servicio. Un método educativo que conecta los conocimientos aprendidos por los alumnos en las aulas con la prestación de servicios solidarios para mejorar su comunidad: su barrio, su ciudad… En esta conversación con representantes de instituciones y colectivos locales que han participado en proyectos de Aprendizaje Servicio (APS), el orientador explica esta metodología con ejemplos cotidianos como la organización de un maratón solidario para fomentar la donación de sangre que además sirve para explicar el sistema cardiovascular, la creación de huertos urbanos comunitarios que explican fundamentos de Ciencias Naturales, los proyectos intergeneracionales con personas mayores, etcétera.

Juan de Vicente Abad es orientador y profesor en el Instituto público IES Miguel Catalán de Coslada, Madrid. Ganador del Premio al Docente más Innovador de España en el Certamen D+I (2016), es uno de los grandes referentes en la aplicación de la metodología educativa conocida como Aprendizaje y Servicio Solidario (APS). Además es un experto en la resolución de conflictos, la convivencia escolar y la interculturalidad.
