Roger Dixon, longtime Fermilab accelerator scientist, tells the story of a young summer student's naive, bungled encounter with a Fermilab VIP in the 1970s.
Former Fermilab Deputy Director Young-Kee Kim was once a CDF experiment postdoc who put her heart and soul into the particle detector. At one point, her tireless efforts brought her work to a brief, soporific standstill.
In the 1970s, Fermilab scientist Herman White presented Director Leon Lederman with an idea for a program for summer students, one that has become a mainstay of Fermilab summers.
I compare the RødeLink wireless lapel system at $399 (which I think is a steal) to the Saramonic wireless lapel system at $89. I swear by Røde products (a 10-year warranty doesn't hurt) and used them for years. I was surprised at how well this lower-priced wireless lapel system held up. It's a great solution for people on a lower budget, or anyone needing a low-cost wireless mic system as an additional or backup wireless microphone.

Oración a Santa Rita por una causa imposible:
Bajo el peso del dolor, a ti, querida santa Rita, yo recurro confiado en ser escuchado. Libera, te ruego, mi pobre corazón de las angustias que lo oprimen y devuelve la calma a mi espíritu, lleno de preocupaciones.
Tu que fuiste elegida por Dios como abogada de los casos más desesperados, obtén la gracia que ardientemente te pido [pedir la gracia que se desea].
Si mis culpas son un obstáculo para el cumplimiento de mis deseos, obténme de Dios la gracia del arrepentimiento y del perdón mediante una sincera confesión.

Oración para suplicar la intercesión del Apóstol San Judas sobre algún problema grave, en la soledad, o en casos desesperados:
¡Santo Apóstol, san Judas fiel siervo y amigo de Jesús! El nombre del traidor que entregó a tu amado Maestro en las manos de sus enemigos, ha sido la causa de que tú hayas sido olvidado por muchos; pero la Iglesia te honra e invoca universalmente, como el patrón de los casos difíciles y desesperados.
Ruega por mí. Estoy sin ayuda y tan solo… Haz uso, te imploro, del privilegio especial a ti concedido, de socorrer pronto y visiblemente cuando casi se ha perdido toda esperanza.
Ven en mi ayuda en esta gran necesidad, para que pueda recibir consuelo y socorro del cielo en todas mis necesidades, tribulaciones y sufrimientos, particularmente (haga aquí su petición), y para que pueda alabar a Dios contigo y con todos los elegidos por siempre.
Prometo, glorioso san Judas, nunca olvidarme de este gran favor, honrarte siempre como a mi especial y poderoso patrono, y, con agradecimiento hacer todo lo que pueda para fomentar tu devoción. Amén.
